GP4068DPBF is a 600V, 96A IGBT (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor) developed by Infineon Technologies, designed for efficient high-power switching in industrial and renewable energy systems. Built with advanced low V\CE\(ON) trench technology, this transistor offers low conduction and switching losses, supporting performance in power-intensive applications.

This IGBT operates with a typical collector-emitter saturation voltage of 1.65V at 25°C and features an integrated ultra-soft fast recovery diode, minimizing voltage overshoot and power loss during switching. Its TO-247 package simplifies mounting and thermal management in compact designs.

With a maximum junction temperature of 175°C and a short-circuit withstand time of 5µs, the GP4068DPBF is engineered for durability under fault conditions. It offers enhanced reverse bias safe operating area (RBSOA), improving protection against transient spikes and ensuring stability in high-voltage circuits.

Common applications include motor drives, solar inverters, UPS systems, induction heating, and welding machines. It also supports soft-switching circuits in high-frequency industrial automation environments where thermal and electrical reliability are critical.
