PS12015-A — 3-Phase Intelligent Power Module
The PS12015-A is a flat-base insulated 3-phase application-specific intelligent power module (IPM) with 1200 V IGBT and diode devices. The module’s inverter output capability is specified as 4.8 A (rms) continuous and 7.2 A (rms) at 150% overload for 1 minute, and it is intended for small three-phase inverter systems in the ~1.5 kW / 400 V AC class when used according to the datasheet.
The module includes on-board protections and interfaces: short-circuit protection for P- and N-side IGBTs, under- and over-voltage lockouts, over-temperature protection, three fault outputs (FO1/FO2/FO3), a current-limit warning (CL) output, and a dynamic-braking circuit. Control inputs are 5 V CMOS/TTL (Schmitt-trigger). The module provides analogue phase-current feedback (5 V line) and uses a bootstrap single-drive supply arrangement for the P-side drive.
Electrical and mechanical ratings include an isolation voltage of 2500 Vrms, module case operating temperature –20 °C to +100 °C, storage temperature –40 °C to +125 °C, and a maximum junction rating listed up to +125 °C in the datasheet. Recommended gate/control supplies are VDH = 15 V, VDL = 5 V, VCIN = 5 V, and the mechanical outline uses M3.5 mounting screws.
