The dsPIC30F2010 from Microchip is a high-performance 16-bit digital signal controller that combines the functionality of a microcontroller with a digital signal processor core. Built on a modified Harvard architecture with up to 30 MIPs at 40 MHz external clock input, it is suitable for motor control, power conversion, inverters, and other real-time control systems. The controller features on-chip Flash memory with a minimum of 10,000 erase/write cycles and EEPROM memory with a minimum of 100,000 cycles in industrial temperature ranges.
