The PC923L is a high-speed, single-channel OPIC™ phototransistor optocoupler from Sharp. It features a built-in direct-drive circuit capable of delivering up to 0.6 A peak for driving MOSFETs or IGBTs, eliminating external drivers.
This device supports isolation voltage of 5000 V RMS between input and output. It offers fast switching with maximum propagation delay times of 0.5 µs (tPLH and tPHL). It also has excellent noise immunity with a minimum common-mode rejection rate of ±15 kV/µs.
Housed in an 8-pin DIP package (double transfer mold), it supports both through-hole and gull‑wing SMT variants. The device handles a wide operating voltage range (VCC = 15–30 V) with low supply current (~1.3 mA) and is UL1577 recognized. VDE0884 option is also available.
