The PC929 is a Sharp Optical IC (OPIC™) phototransistor output optocoupler featuring an integrated IGBT short-circuit protection circuit. Designed for inverter gate drive applications, it includes a direct-drive output stage capable of delivering up to 400 mA peak for MOSFET or IGBT control.
PC929 provides high isolation voltage up to 4 kV RMS, with ultra-fast response times of max 500 ns for rising and falling edges. Packaged in a compact 14-pin mini-flat half-pitch SOIC, it meets UL1577 and optional VDE0884 approvals for safety-critical installations, and is optimized for SMT reflow soldering.
